CNC Turner – Setter/Operator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) to join an established engineering company in Basildon. The role involves operating and setting CNC turning machines to produce large‑scale aluminium and stainless‑steel components for the automotive, aerospace and defence sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning machines.
• Change tooling as required.
• Inspect large‑scale components for quality.
• Machine aluminium and stainless‑steel parts.
• Operate milling machines where needed.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Minimum three years’ experience in CNC turning and machine setup.
• Proven experience with Fanuc controls.
• Background in automotive, aerospace or defence manufacturing.
