Collections Administrator (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are looking for a Collections Administrator to join our Credit Control team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will manage high‑volume, low‑value debts, ensuring cash collection is maximised while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Chase payments from approximately 3,000 debtors per month, meeting and exceeding team targets.
• Handle direct debit failures, pursue outstanding/late payments and take cases to termination or escalation.
• Maintain accurate records, produce arrears reports and ensure compliance with FCA, GDPR and the Consumer Credit Act.
• Interpret various Hire Agreements and apply commercial awareness in daily decisions.
• Provide empathetic, diplomatic communication with customers while focusing on debt recovery.

Required profile

• Team player with strong telephone etiquette and customer‑service focus.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping.
• Motivation to achieve targets in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Good PC literacy and ability to use MS Office applications.

What we offer

• £26,275 per annum (fixed‑term, 12 months).
• 36.25‑hour week, Monday‑Friday with flexible start times between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
