Colorectal Cancer Support Officer

About the role

The Colorectal Cancer Support Officer will provide high-quality administrative assistance to the Colorectal Cancer Coordinating Team within NHS Scotland. This role ensures smooth service delivery by acting as the first point of contact for enquiries and supporting the team’s day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of administrative support to the Colorectal Cancer Coordinating Team, maintaining a consistently high standard.
• Serve as the initial contact for internal and external enquiries, responding directly or referring appropriately.
• Maintain and update all project databases and related systems, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on the use of databases and administrative tools.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, correspondence, and meeting documentation as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle enquiries professionally.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail when managing data and documentation.
• Capability to train and support colleagues in the use of administrative systems.
