Commercial Account Executive

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Account Executive to join our well‑established insurance brokerage in Leeds. The role offers a hybrid working model and the chance to manage an existing portfolio of long‑standing commercial clients while driving new business across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, retain and develop a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
• Present insurance and risk‑management solutions to secure renewals and win new business.
• Identify and act on cross‑selling and upselling opportunities.
• Generate new business through company leads and personal prospecting.
• Meet targets for quotes, sales and income generation.
• Develop a deep understanding of clients' operations, risks and insurance needs.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers and key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance team performance and client service.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial insurance sales.
• Demonstrated success in business development, client retention and portfolio growth.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• Ability to network and develop new business opportunities.
• Organised with strong attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, ambitious and eager to progress within the insurance market.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Acturis (advantageous)
