Commercial Account Handler – Bolton

About the role

The Commercial Account Handler will join a fast‑growing insurance broker in Bolton, supporting Account Executives with a diverse portfolio of commercial clients. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality service, accurate policy administration, and helping to retain and expand client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
• Act as the day‑to‑day point of contact for mid‑term adjustments, renewals and client queries.
• Prepare and issue quotations, endorsements and policy schedules.
• Liaise with insurers to negotiate terms and secure competitive cover.
• Support Account Executives with new‑business and renewal presentations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Identify cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities where appropriate.

Required profile

• Experience in a commercial insurance account handling role.
• Good knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident written and verbal communicator.
• Customer‑focused with a solutions‑driven mindset.
• Ability to work with multiple systems and manage competing priorities.
