About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing independent commercial insurance brokerage in Manchester. The role offers a hybrid working model and the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial clients while contributing directly to the firm’s expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and nurture a portfolio of commercial clients, handling renewals, MTAs and policy adjustments.
• Negotiate with a panel of insurers to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
• Build long‑term relationships with business owners, identifying risks and delivering tailored insurance solutions.
• Conduct thorough coverage reviews to maintain high service standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold the firm’s reputation as the client base grows.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Commercial Insurance Account Handler or similar commercial role.
• Solid understanding of commercial insurance products such as property, liability and combined risks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with experience using insurance software systems.
• Ambitious and eager to develop technical skills within a growing independent firm.
