Commercial Account Handler

About the role

Join one of the most progressive independent insurance brokerages in the North West as a Commercial Account Handler. You will manage a portfolio of commercial clients, providing expert advice and handling the full insurance lifecycle while working closely with senior management and directors.

Key responsibilities

• Own a client portfolio and manage the entire insurance lifecycle from new business enquiries to renewals.
• Provide first‑class client service, expert advice and develop strong relationships.
• Underwrite risks within delegated authority, applying sound judgement.
• Handle day‑to‑day enquiries from clients and insurers.
• Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business, requirements and risk profile.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial insurance as an Account Handler or Broker.
• Background in underwriting is also considered.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.

• Commercial insurance knowledge.
