Commercial Administrator – Repairs & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Commercial Administrator to join a well‑established social housing repairs & maintenance contractor in Hampshire. The role sits within the commercial function and supports operational teams by ensuring works are accurately valued, costs are controlled and commercial performance is maximised.

Key responsibilities

• Review completed works and apply the NHF Schedule of Rates to ensure accurate valuation.
• Update the repairs/job management system with correct SORs, labour and material costs.
• Identify opportunities to maximise value and minimise commercial risk across repairs and maintenance workflows.
• Verify subcontractor claims, raise purchase orders and support accurate cost capture.
• Assist with commercial reporting, analysis and month‑end financial processes.
• Liaise with operational teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to resolve commercial queries.
• Support continuous improvement of commercial processes and documentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Commercial Administrator or similar role within social housing repairs & maintenance.
• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines, multitask and work independently.
• Excellent numeracy and administration skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of the NHF Schedule of Rates (essential).
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with job management systems (e.g., Oneserve preferred).
