Commercial Analyst / Estimator

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established manufacturing organisation that supplies UK and international markets. The Commercial Analyst / Estimator will work closely with the Commercial Manager to drive pricing strategy, profitability analysis and bid activity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily pricing enquiries from internal and external sales teams.
• Produce accurate, competitive quotations aligned to margin targets.
• Support the preparation of estimates for major tenders and contracts.
• Maintain and update pricing data across all systems and price files.
• Analyse performance data to identify low‑margin products, under‑performing customers and margin‑improvement opportunities.
• Develop and deliver regular commercial performance reports.
• Provide data‑driven insight for account reviews.
• Govern invoice pricing to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of pricing tools, processes and systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a commercial, pricing, costing or analytical role.
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and manipulate data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good understanding of margin, profitability and pricing principles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
