Commercial Category Manager (SC Cleared) – Hybrid

About the role

This hybrid position supports a large public‑sector client in Leeds, delivering end‑to‑end commercial and procurement services. You will work closely with the Senior Strategic Category Manager and the Commercial Business Partner to drive sourcing, risk management and sustainability across the category.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle for public‑sector contracts, from tender engagement to contract award.
• Maintain a comprehensive procurement pipeline and commercial trackers, including savings, waivers and project status.
• Collaborate with technology and finance stakeholders to prioritise activities, realise benefits and embed risk controls.
• Facilitate workshops to define sourcing strategies and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Drive sustainability initiatives and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.
• Utilise eProcurement systems to process sourcing events and maintain supplier intelligence.

Required profile

• Security‑cleared (SC) professional with extensive experience in public‑sector procurement.
• Proven track record of managing tender processes, stakeholder engagement and contract negotiations.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to deliver measurable savings.
• Experience working in hybrid environments, balancing onsite presence with remote collaboration.
