Commercial Chiller Engineer (Field Based)

About the role

This is a hands‑on field service position focused on the installation, servicing, repair and maintenance of temporary commercial chiller equipment across the South East of England. Engineers work from home or from the Andover or Rochester depots and travel to customer sites to ensure rapid fault resolution and high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, repair and maintain temporary chiller units at customer locations.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore equipment to service quickly.
• Assist with boiler installations during winter and install air‑conditioning units when required.
• Maintain depot van stock, order parts and prepare equipment for upcoming jobs.
• Contribute to product development and service‑operation improvements while upholding health, safety and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working on commercial chillers.
• Current F‑Gas qualification.
• Full UK driving licence and CSCS card.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication, organisational skills and the confidence to work independently on site.
• Methodical approach, solid IT skills and up‑to‑date health‑and‑safety knowledge.
• Flexible, reliable, customer‑focused and able to work as part of a wider service team.
