Commercial Finance Business Partner

About the role

This position sits at the heart of a fast‑growing Cornish business, partnering directly with senior leaders to shape commercial strategy. You will move beyond reporting to provide insight that drives decision‑making and supports continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Business partnering with operational, commercial and senior leadership teams
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
• Producing month‑end reporting, variance analysis and performance commentary
• Developing and enhancing KPIs, dashboards and management information
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities through financial analysis
• Delivering customer, product and profitability analysis
• Building financial models and supporting business cases for new opportunities
• Driving continuous improvements to reporting, processes and commercial performance
• Providing high‑quality ad‑hoc analysis to support strategic decision making

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Experience in a commercially focused finance role
• Strong relationship‑building and influencing abilities
• Ability to translate financial data into practical commercial recommendations
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Interest in how a business operates
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food production or other product‑led environments (preferred)
