Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

This Commercial Finance Manager role sits within a £1bn+ retail business and works closely with senior leaders to shape financial and commercial outcomes. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing insight that drives pricing, cost efficiency and strategic investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance performance reporting, ensuring KPIs drive accountability and action.
• Provide commercial insight to support pricing, cost‑efficiency, investment and operational improvement decisions.
• Partner with business leaders to challenge thinking, improve performance and influence decision‑making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and planning, translating operational drivers into financial outcomes.
• Evaluate transformation initiatives and help prioritise investments that deliver the greatest value.
• Deliver clear, actionable analysis for strategic decision‑making and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain robust financial governance and controls.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment such as retail, FMCG or logistics.
• Proven track record of business partnering and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insight.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and resilience in a dynamic setting.
