Commercial Financial Controller

About the role

The Commercial Financial Controller will partner with the CFO to lead the finance function across a fast‑growing private credit fund and its related businesses. Based in Central London, you will own the delivery of financial reporting, audit, tax and cash‑flow management while providing commercial insight to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Run the finance function for the Group, delivering accurate financial statements and performance analysis.
• Prepare Board and investor reports, interpreting results, key drivers, risks and trends.
• Lead the external audit process and act as the primary contact for auditors.
• Manage relationships with advisers, lenders, service providers and other external stakeholders.
• Oversee all tax, regulatory and statutory obligations across the Group.
• Coordinate bank drawdowns, covenant compliance and lender interactions for development activities.
• Produce cash‑flow forecasts, liquidity plans and scenario analyses to support decision‑making.
• Identify and implement improvements to systems, controls and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Significant experience in financial control within a complex, multi‑entity environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and influence senior leadership.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering insightful performance analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for Board, investor and external stakeholder reporting.
