Commercial Gas Engineer – £50k-£60k – London

About the role

The Commercial Gas Engineer is responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient maintenance, repair, fault diagnosis and optimisation of commercial gas and associated mechanical systems in older, technically complex buildings. Working as part of the Onsite Services team, you will deliver high‑quality operational service across planned, remedial and reactive works.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, remedial and reactive maintenance on commercial gas and mechanical plant.
• Diagnose faults and implement effective repairs to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all work meets health, safety and regulatory compliance standards.
• Manage workload independently, communicating clearly with the office and prioritising first‑time fixes.
• Support asset reliability, lifecycle planning and energy‑efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Strong technical competence with ageing infrastructure and legacy plant.
• Ability to work without day‑to‑day supervision and manage tasks professionally.
• Commitment to safety, quality and client service excellence.
