Commercial Installation Electrician

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Installation Electrician to join a leading engineering firm delivering projects across rail, utilities, infrastructure and marine sectors. The role involves travelling across the London and Home Counties area to install and commission a variety of industrial equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install 3‑phase controls on pumps, switchgear and well systems.
• Lay and terminate power distribution cables on site.
• Prepare, test and certify equipment, producing reports and certificates.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on installed systems.
• Occasional overtime and travel throughout the Home Counties.

Required profile

• Qualified Installation Electrician or equivalent background.
• Experience installing industrial equipment such as pumps, panels and controls.
• Willingness to travel across the Home Counties.
• Holding 18th Edition and 2391 electrical certificates.

Required skills

• 3‑Phase control installation.
• Pump and switchgear installation.
• Power distribution cable installation.
• Testing, inspection and certification of electrical equipment.
