Commercial Insurance Account Executive – Development

About the role

Our client, a leading national insurance broker, is expanding its commercial sales team and seeks a Commercial Insurance Account Executive to develop and grow a book of commercial insurance business in the South East England region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and secure new commercial clients to meet personal sales targets.
• Drive growth across key sectors such as motor trade, manufacturing, building & allied trades, property owners, retail & wholesalers, and fleet sales.
• Develop and execute sales plans using market research, sector knowledge and competitor insight.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships, delivering tailored insurance solutions.
• Cross‑sell additional services including risk management, health & safety consultancy and compliance support.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with the wider team and stay up‑to‑date on product, market and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Proven track record of successful commercial insurance sales, handling mid to high premium cases.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and customer‑focused skills.
• Ability to work to targets and deliver results.
• Commercial awareness of client needs across the identified sectors.
• Professional, organised approach with a commitment to compliance.
