Commercial Insurance Account Executive

About the role

Howden, a global insurance group, is looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join its Consumer & Local Commercial team in Lichfield. The local Commercial team has grown rapidly over the last 14 years and now has over 200 people across the UK. You will build rapport with new and existing clients ranging from sole traders to the MD/CEO of a large organisation, working closely with the Branch Manager to achieve objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Build rapport with new and existing clients, from sole traders to senior executives of large organisations
• Work closely with the Branch Manager to achieve objectives
• Identify and explore new business opportunities to deliver the best outcome for clients
• Advise clients on products and solutions, listening carefully to their requirements and looking for a path to agreement

Required profile

• Experience winning new business and building long-lasting relationships with B2B clients
• Previous insurance experience
• Passion for developing business through marketing, community engagement, networking and client meetings
• Tenacity, business curiosity and willingness to learn
• Consultative approach, effective questioning and active listening
