Commercial Litigation Solicitor (5+ PQE) – Reading

About the role

Our client, a respected Thames Valley law firm, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience to join its growing Reading office. You will work on high‑value commercial and property disputes, advising a diverse client base and progressing your career within a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial and commercial property disputes.
• Advise on contractual, shareholder, partnership and business ownership disputes.
• Handle landlord‑tenant matters, lease renewals, dilapidations, forfeiture and possession claims.
• Represent clients in negotiation, mediation, arbitration and court proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements, applications and settlement agreements.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and support business development activities.
• Mentor junior team members as required.

Required profile

• 5+ years PQE in commercial litigation, preferably with exposure to commercial property.
• Experience advising businesses, developers, landlords, tenants, directors and shareholders.
• Proven ability to manage cases from instruction through to resolution.
• Strong commercial awareness and client‑focused approach.
