Commercial Loss Adjuster – Remote (Home‑Based)

About the role

Adjusting Appointments Limited is seeking experienced Commercial Loss Adjusters to manage a portfolio of commercial claims across the South East and South West of England. Working from a home base, you will book appointments, inspect loss sites, and guide claims through to settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Assess commercial loss sites, gather evidence and determine loss values.
• Manage a caseload of roughly 50‑60 active losses, handling up to 160 losses per year.
• Negotiate settlements via supply‑chain agreements or cash payouts, typically ranging £10,000‑£100,000.
• Use Symbility software to schedule and document building losses.
• Provide customers with precautionary and post‑loss advice to reduce future risk.
• Escalate complex or non‑standard claims to senior colleagues.
• Contribute to policy wording reviews and mentor technical staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling commercial loss adjustments.
• Ability to work independently and manage a full caseload.
• Progression towards professional qualifications (e.g., CII, CILA) is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Symbility loss‑adjustment software.
