Commercial Manager – Equipment (Construction)

About the role

Sizewell C is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead equipment procurement and contract administration across its flagship nuclear project. The role will support the delivery of a multi‑billion‑pound programme, ensuring commercial excellence, risk mitigation and value optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of equipment contracts from tender through to delivery.
• Draft and evaluate position papers, variations and complex quotations.
• Monitor cost drivers, supply‑chain performance and contract compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering, project and legal teams to align commercial strategy with project milestones.
• Prepare clear commercial reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering large‑scale engineering or infrastructure programmes (£10m‑£100m+).
• Strong understanding of construction technology, cost structures and supply‑chain dynamics.
• Experience in the energy sector (nuclear, wind, solar, oil & gas) is highly regarded.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing office collaboration with site engagement.

Required skills

• FIDIC contract knowledge (highly desirable).
• NEC3 and NEC4 contract administration.
• Contract management and administration.
• Supply‑chain management.
• Risk assessment and mitigation.
