Commercial Manager – Mechanical & Electrical

About the role

The company is a Tier 1 M&E contractor expanding its commercial capability in the North West. You will lead a small team of Quantity Surveyors, overseeing new‑build and refurbishment projects ranging from £5 m to £20 m.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of multiple projects from award to handover.
• Prepare and submit Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and cost‑to‑complete assessments.
• Manage project cash flow and produce accurate turnover forecasts.
• Oversee internal valuations, subcontract liability reports and final account negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms (NEC, JCT) and internal governance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a construction‑related discipline.
• Proven experience on M&E packages within the construction sector.
• Residency within commuting distance of Bolton/Manchester.
• Full UK driving licence.

What we offer

• Salary £85,000‑£87,000 per annum plus £6,000 car allowance.
