Commercial Plumbing & Heating Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Commercial Plumbing & Heating Engineer to deliver first‑class plumbing services across residential and commercial premises. You will work both independently and as part of a team to carry out installations, servicing and repairs to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑standard plumbing installations, maintenance and repair work in domestic and commercial properties.
• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective repairs on plumbing and mechanical systems, including associated equipment and appliances.
• Complete first and second fix plumbing work and conduct system testing and commissioning.
• Undertake minor tasks across other trades when required to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Maintain risk assessments and work safely in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Accurately document labour, materials and job details using digital and manual systems.
• Participate in the emergency call‑out rota as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum City & Guilds Plumbing & Heating Level 2 qualification.
• Proven commercial experience in plumbing and heating.
• Strong engineering background in combustion/boiler maintenance.
• Field‑based service engineer experience.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of steam, hot‑water and thermal‑oil boiler plant.
• Experience with digital combustion control systems.
• Familiarity with a range of boiler and burner manufacturers.
• Ability to perform first and second fix plumbing work.
• Competence in risk assessment and health‑and‑safety compliance.
