Commercial Property & Asset Manager

About the role

Our client is seeking a Chartered Commercial Property & Asset Manager (MRICS) to lead the management of a diverse portfolio of office, industrial and retail assets. The role combines technical surveying expertise with commercial insight to optimise asset performance.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for a portfolio of commercial properties, monitoring income, lease events and market conditions.
• Deliver property management services including tenant liaison, rent arrears management and regular site inspections.
• Manage landlord and tenant matters such as lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, assignments and sub‑lettings.
• Lead letting of vacant properties, minimise void periods and oversee service‑charge budgeting.
• Coordinate refurbishment and improvement projects, working closely with building surveyors.
• Support acquisitions and disposals, negotiate easements and maintain accurate property records.
• Prepare and present reports on voids, arrears, rent reviews, lease renewals, dilapidations and projects.

Required profile

• MRICS qualification (essential).
• Proven experience in commercial property and/or asset management.
• Strong knowledge of landlord‑tenant matters and lease structures.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Commercially astute with a proactive, solutions‑driven approach.
• Ability to manage multiple assets and projects simultaneously.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
