Commercial Property Manager

About the role

The successful candidate will join a privately‑owned, multi‑disciplinary property company’s Portfolio Management team near Alderley Edge. You will manage a diverse UK commercial investment portfolio that includes offices, rental units, light industrial assets, retail schemes and leisure developments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage lease renewals, rent reviews, lease breaks, assignments and sub‑lettings.
• Act as the primary point of contact for occupying tenants, delivering a professional and responsive service.
• Conduct regular, detailed inspections across the allocated property portfolio.
• Liaise with Building Surveying and Facilities Management teams.
• Support financial control of service charges, working with Property Accountants on budgets and annual reconciliations.
• Assist the rating team with business rates matters.
• Provide guidance to Building Managers and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Maintain strong tenant relationships while protecting the commercial interests of the portfolio.

Required profile

• Several years’ experience in commercial property management.
• Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant matters.
• Experience managing commercial property portfolios.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Strong teamwork and ability to manage competing priorities.
• MRICS qualification or working towards chartership (advantageous).

• Salary £60,000‑£65,000 per year.
