Commercial & Proposals Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial & Proposals Manager to lead the Commercial & Proposals team at ICR in Aberdeen. The role supports the Specialist Repair Business globally, overseeing contracts, proposals, tenders and commercial risk for Technowrap and Quickflange product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Commercial & Proposals team, including Proposals Coordinators and Commercial Advisor.
• Negotiate, review and update client contracts, ensuring compliance with ICR contracting principles.
• Set pricing strategies and drive margin improvement.
• Oversee partner onboarding, NDAs, due‑diligence, MOUs and collaboration agreements.
• Lead tender processes, manage MSA proposals and pre‑qualification questionnaires.
• Maintain contract registers, NDA logs, bank guarantees and commercial licences.
• Provide commercial risk advice throughout bid and project lifecycles.
• Prepare monthly commercial reports and support finance with ad‑hoc credit‑control.

Required profile

• Proven commercial and contract experience, including drafting and negotiating agreements.
• Strong commercial literacy with ability to assess contract risk.
• Experience managing or developing a small team.
• Comfort working across an international business with multiple jurisdictions.
• Highly organised, meeting governance and compliance deadlines.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to mentor a team and foster a collaborative culture.
