Commercial Shipping Coordinator - Customer Services

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Shipping Coordinator to join a leading shipping company that serves the Caribbean. The position is based in the Fareham/Whiteley office and starts as a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and collate shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, invoices and packing lists.
• Handle HMRC export clearances and ensure compliance with export regulations.
• Manage the flow of documentation internally and with clients and logistics partners.
• Process export bookings accurately and within required timeframes.
• Provide accurate sales quotes to customers and follow up on unsuccessful quotations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support to clients.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and commercial skills.
• Interest or experience in the shipping or logistics sector.
• Ability to work accurately with documentation and meet deadlines.
