Commercial Solicitor – 3-5 years PQE (Hybrid)

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established law firm in Northampton to appoint a Commercial Solicitor on a permanent, hybrid basis. The role is ideal for a qualified solicitor with 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience who wants to broaden their commercial practice and take on greater responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload covering commercial agreements, technology contracts, intellectual property and data protection.
• Draft, amend and negotiate a range of commercial documentation.
• Take ownership of matters while assisting on complex projects alongside senior lawyers.
• Provide practical legal advice that balances legal and commercial considerations.
• Develop lasting client relationships and understand their long‑term business objectives.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments and locations to deliver joined‑up advice.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years PQE with experience in commercial contracts, technology, IP or data protection.
• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a strong grounding in commercial law.
• Ability to analyse complex issues and translate advice into clear, practical solutions.
• Commercially minded with an appreciation of business pressures.
• Confident in client interaction and stakeholder management.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
