Commercial Solicitor – 3‑5 PQE, Berkshire

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Solicitor with 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience to join our growing Berkshire team. You will work with a diverse client base, ranging from start‑ups and charities to SMEs and multinational subsidiaries, delivering high‑quality commercial legal advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial matters independently.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, bespoke agreements and licences.
• Provide advice on intellectual property, IT, data protection and emerging technology issues, including AI.
• Support senior lawyers on complex transactions and corporate matters.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship building.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 3‑5 years PQE in commercial law, either in private practice or in‑house.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver practical, business‑focused advice.
• Proactive, organised and capable of managing your own workload.
• Interest in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to firm culture.

Required skills

• Contract drafting and negotiation.
• Knowledge of intellectual property, IT and data protection law.
• Familiarity with emerging technology legislation, such as AI.
