Commercial Solicitor - Consultant

About the role

Richard Nelson LLP is seeking experienced commercial solicitors to join its national consultancy model as self‑employed consultants. The role offers a modern, flexible way to practise law, allowing you to build and manage your own client portfolio while benefiting from the firm’s support infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality commercial law advice to businesses and professionals across England and Wales.
• Manage a personal caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of matters.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, aiming for a minimum annual billing of £100,000.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and maintain Lexcel standards.
• Collaborate with the firm’s compliance, administrative, and accounts teams.

Required profile

• Senior solicitor with post‑qualification experience in commercial law.
• Proven ability to generate and manage a substantial client base.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and set personal financial goals.
• Commitment to the firm’s values of integrity, expertise, and client‑focused service.

Required skills

• Lexcel accreditation or familiarity with Lexcel standards.
