Commercial Supply Chain Senior Manager (12‑month contract)

About the role

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Commercial Supply Chain Senior Manager on a 12‑month contract to lead product launch readiness for its commercial portfolio across international markets. The role will coordinate end‑to‑end supply activities, ensuring timely delivery of dedicated packs, late‑stage customization, and named‑patient supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution of New Product Launch (NPL) and Life Cycle Management (LCM) projects across the international supply chain.
• Lead activities to achieve supply readiness aligned with launch timelines for multiple product modalities and new markets.
• Manage delivery of launch strategies and milestones through an established end‑to‑end process.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure successful launches.
• Oversee dedicated pack readiness and manage exemptions for late‑stage customization and Named Patient Supply.
• Track launch project plans, change controls, and status updates, mitigating risks to meet deadlines.
• Provide regular progress updates to product leads and senior management.
• Maintain quality‑assurance documentation, including change controls, deviations, and CAPAs.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance launch readiness processes and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in commercial supply chain, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
• Proven track record of managing product launch supply activities across multiple regions.
• Strong project‑management capabilities and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Knowledge of dedicated pack, late‑stage customization, and named‑patient supply models.
