Commissioning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join the Severn Trent contract based in Wanlip. The role will focus on delivering electrical commissioning for wastewater and sludge treatment process plants, starting with the Wanlip Green Recovery Scheme.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end electrical commissioning, including testing and commissioning of power and ICA control systems.
• Identify, fault‑find and resolve electrical issues, produce accurate as‑built drawings and ensure compliance with site safety and H&S regulations.
• Conduct functional testing, wet commissioning of mechanical equipment, PLC/SCADA signal checks and Site Acceptance Testing.
• Manage quality and handover documentation, maintain records in DALUX and ensure works meet project standards.
• Support programme, commercial and stakeholder coordination through reporting, risk escalation and collaboration with internal teams and supply‑chain partners.

Required profile

• Qualified and certified electrical professional with LV Authorised Person duties experience.
• Proven commissioning experience on wastewater or sludge treatment projects, including preparation of commissioning documentation and test sheets.
• Strong teamwork, safety awareness and problem‑solving abilities with a detail‑focused approach.
