Communications and Marketing Manager – Youth Charity

About the role

We are seeking a confident and experienced Communications and Marketing Manager to lead the communications and marketing activities for a brand‑new locally run youth charity. This senior‑level position sits on the leadership team and offers a clear pathway into senior leadership, allowing you to shape strategic decision‑making and raise the profile of the Youth Zone.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a bold communications strategy that amplifies young people’s voices.
• Lead digital communications, social media, and content creation to boost visibility.
• Collaborate with fundraising and programme teams to ensure communications support strategic goals.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across the community and external partners.
• Oversee the creation of marketing materials, press releases, and promotional campaigns.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of communications initiatives and adjust tactics as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a communications or marketing leadership role, preferably within the non‑profit sector.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with a hands‑on, pragmatic approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment.

Required skills

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a salary of £35,000‑£40,000 per year.
• 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).
