Communications and Marketing Officer (Temporary)

About the role

The Communications and Marketing Officer will join the Transformation Team to support a city‑wide programme of change. You will create and deliver high‑quality communications that keep internal and external stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the reform process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and produce communications across a range of media to inform stakeholders about transformation initiatives.
• Promote council services for families through targeted marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with the Transformation Team to ensure messaging aligns with strategic objectives.
• Maintain relationships with internal departments and external partners to facilitate clear information flow.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of communications and adjust strategies as needed.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships and convey complex change initiatives clearly.
• Creative mindset with a passion for producing first‑class content.
• Experience working in a public sector or similar transformation environment.
