Communications Lead – Community Mental Health

About the role

Southdown is seeking a dynamic Communications Lead to raise the profile of the UOK partnership and its mental health services across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. You will craft compelling stories, develop engaging content and support people in accessing vital mental health and wellbeing support.

Key responsibilities

• Create and publish compelling content for digital and print channels.
• Design and deliver communications campaigns that highlight service impact.
• Manage website and social media channels, including multimedia production and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with UOK network partners to provide responsive communications support.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communications, public relations or marketing.
• Strong copy‑writing and editing abilities for both digital and print media.
• Track record of planning and executing successful communications campaigns.
• Experience managing website content and social media platforms.
• Ability to organise a varied workload and meet deadlines.
