Communications Manager – Projects & Influence

About the role

The Projects and Communications Manager will help shape Salisbury’s future by keeping the local business community informed, engaged and represented. You will lead the Influence programme, delivering projects that make a tangible difference across the city centre.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Influence projects, including business training, employee benefits schemes, city insight initiatives and business engagement programmes.
• Plan and produce clear communications across newsletters, email campaigns, reports, website content and business updates.
• Oversee the CRM platform, reporting processes and business‑insight data to support decision‑making and demonstrate value.
• Produce monthly reports on engagement, project performance and return on investment.
• Line‑manage the Projects and Communications Officer and coordinate priorities across multiple workstreams.
• Build strong relationships with businesses, partners and working groups; chair the Influence Working Group and support collaborative city‑centre initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering communications, stakeholder engagement or project‑management initiatives.
• Excellent written communication skills with a track record of producing professional content.
• Ability to manage several projects and workstreams simultaneously.
• Experience in reporting and data analysis to demonstrate value to members.
• Leadership experience supervising staff or volunteers.
