Community Payback Supervisor (Stoke-on-Trent)

About the role

The Community Payback Supervisor role supports people on probation as they complete unpaid work placements, helping to make local communities safer and cleaner. Based in Stoke‑on‑Trent, you will supervise groups of offenders, ensuring tasks are completed safely and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise up to 7 hours a day of a work group at a community payback site.
• Drive service vehicles to transport people or equipment, holding a full UK manual driving licence.
• Ensure all tasks are carried out to a high standard and provide on‑site guidance.
• Work flexible patterns, including frequent weekends and occasional evenings.
• Promote wellbeing of both staff and service users, stepping in when standard break times are disrupted.

Required profile

• Full UK manual driving licence (automatic licences are not accepted).
• Willingness to work weekends and occasional evenings.
• Ability to supervise and support people on probation in an active, outdoor environment.
• Commitment to health and safety and to maintaining a supportive atmosphere.

• Starting salary of £28,064 per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time).
