Community Support Worker – Children (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for compassionate Community Support Workers to provide dedicated care for children in Manchester, both in their homes and during community outings. The role is part‑time and focuses on meeting each child’s physical and emotional needs while adhering to safeguarding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised care according to each child’s care plan, including personal care and community activities.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment at home and during outings.
• Travel to children’s homes and accompany them to various community locations.
• Monitor and promptly report any changes in a child’s condition to relevant professionals.
• Record observations and maintain accurate logs in line with safeguarding protocols.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months of care‑related experience in the UK.
• Strong awareness of safeguarding issues for vulnerable children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Up‑to‑date DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (support available for new applications).
• Right to work in the UK and suitability to work with children.
• Good written communication for maintaining logs and observations.

Required skills

• DBS certification (up‑to‑date, registered on the Update Service).
