About the role
The role leads a strategic project to assess the fairness and effectiveness of the organisation's pay and reward arrangements. Working on a hybrid basis, you will conduct benchmarking, review pay structures, and provide recommendations that balance financial realities with equitable compensation.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out a structured pay benchmarking exercise against comparable organisations.
- Analyse internal pay data to identify gaps, pay erosion, and process inefficiencies.
- Review equal‑pay audit outcomes, implement practical steps, and ensure legal compliance.
- Ensure pay practices align with standards such as the Living Wage Foundation.
- Evaluate the current job evaluation scheme, recommend improvements, and maintain confidence in grading processes.
- Produce evidence‑based reports with short‑ and long‑term recommendations and present findings in an accessible manner.
Required profile
- Proven experience in compensation and benefits management, preferably within a not‑for‑profit environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead pay benchmarking and equal‑pay audit projects.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on fairness, compliance, and strategic planning.
