Compensation Director – International Sales & Marketing

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a Compensation Director to lead the design, implementation, and governance of global compensation programs for its Sales, Marketing, and international functions. The role partners with business and HR leaders to use compensation as a strategic driver of growth and talent attraction worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute global compensation strategies, including base pay, incentive plans, equity programs, and recognition frameworks for GTM and international markets.
• Lead annual compensation planning, salary review cycles, incentive design, and market benchmarking across domestic and international regions.
• Partner with regional PxBPs to tailor compensation approaches to EMEA, APJ, and ME, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Provide executive advisory on compensation trends, risk mitigation, and talent mobility, using data‑driven insights.
• Establish and maintain global compensation governance, pay equity analyses, and remediation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive compensation experience, including sales and marketing functions.
• Proven ability to influence VP and C‑suite stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, modeling, and executive presentation skills.

Required skills

• Expertise with compensation surveys and methodologies (e.g., Radford benchmarks).
• Experience with compensation technology platforms such as Workday, Anaplan, Pave, or CompAnalyst.
• Deep knowledge of sales incentive compensation design and equity program administration.
