About the role
We are partnering with a thriving SEND school in South East London to recruit a dedicated Complex Needs SEND Teaching Assistant. The role provides 1:1 and classroom support for pupils with EHCP plans, ASD, and more complex medical needs.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalised 1:1 support and assist in classroom activities from 08:30 to 15:30.
- Provide personal care where required, ensuring pupils’ health and safety.
- Collaborate with the SEND team to implement individual education plans.
- Support the transition of new classrooms and contribute to a growing student body.
Required profile
- Previous experience in SEND or care settings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to the wellbeing and progress of pupils with complex needs.
Required skills
- Experience with 1:1 and group classroom support.
- Competence in delivering personal care tasks.
