Complex Needs Teacher

About the role

Prospero Teaching is partnering with a specialist SEND school in Hackney to recruit a dedicated Complex Needs Teacher for a KS1 class, where the learner levels align more closely with EYFS. The role starts in September 2026 and is based on-site at the school in Stoke Newington.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS1/EYFS pupils with complex needs.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to individual requirements.
• Collaborate with support staff and senior teachers to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the school’s SEND policies.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) holder.
• Proven experience in a special needs school setting.
• Background working with EYFS and KS1 age groups.
• Previous experience teaching pupils with complex needs.
• Strong proficiency in English and mathematics.
