Complex Needs Teacher – SEND Specialist

About the role

TLTP Education is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Teacher to join a specialist SEND school in Uxbridge. You will work with pupils aged 7‑19 who have Severe Learning Difficulties, Autism Spectrum Condition and other complex needs across multiple key stages.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the progress and outcomes of all pupils in your class.
• Lead and coordinate a team of SEND Teaching Assistants.
• Plan and deliver engaging, highly personalised lessons aligned to timetables.
• Teach core subjects, including English, in functional contexts.
• Use a holistic approach, drawing on educational and therapeutic strategies.
• Promote independence, communication and social development.
• Ensure safety, wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching pupils with SEN, especially complex needs or SLD.
• Primary or secondary teaching experience.
• Ability to deliver outstanding teaching within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience leading within a subject area and driving pupil progress.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
