About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEND primary school in Peckham. This full‑time, long‑term position starts in September 2026 and focuses on supporting pupils with complex learning, communication and behavioural needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions tailored to individual EHCP targets.
- Assist pupils with personal care and promote independence.
- Implement behaviour support plans and encourage social engagement.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, the SENCO, therapists and families.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN or complex needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Patient, caring and resilient attitude.
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS clearance.
Required skills
