Compliance Manager – Hybrid – Manchester

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Compliance Manager to join a fast‑growing financial planning firm in Manchester. Working in a hybrid model, you will help shape a modern compliance function that leverages technology and AI to support rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct case reviews and provide compliance oversight across the business.
• Support advisers and contribute to Training & Competence activities.
• Develop, enhance and maintain compliance frameworks and processes.
• Drive a “first‑time‑right” culture and embed efficient, technology‑enabled controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through AI and other digital tools.
• Coach advisers, offering practical guidance on regulatory matters.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design scalable systems and shape the future operating model.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Compliance Manager or Senior Compliance professional, preferably in wealth management or financial planning.
• Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and advice standards.
• Experience supporting advisers and delivering Training & Competence programmes.
• Commercially minded, solutions‑focused and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Enthusiastic about using technology and AI to improve processes.
