Compliance Manager (Part-Time, 30 hrs)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Compliance Manager to build and embed a robust compliance and governance framework across our multi‑site business in St Albans. The role is hands‑on, focusing on designing practical controls and processes rather than traditional audit tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Review existing processes, identify gaps and design new controls, policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Develop reporting frameworks and compliance metrics for senior leadership.
• Work with operational, sales and support teams to embed consistent ways of working.
• Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels to secure buy‑in and adherence.
• Support ongoing monitoring, audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interpret regulatory and legislative requirements and translate them into day‑to‑day business practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance, governance, risk or other regulated environments.
• Demonstrated ability to design or improve processes and controls.
• Strong capability to interpret regulations and apply them practically.
• Experience reporting to senior leadership or board‑level stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management across different seniority levels.
• Operational mindset focused on building and embedding solutions.
