Compliance Manager – Property Compliance Project

About the role

This is a fixed‑period position to lead a special compliance project for the Council’s property estate. The aim is to ensure all properties meet statutory compliance requirements and to complete any remedial work so the permanent compliance team can manage the estate as business‑as‑usual.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections across the borough to verify statutory compliance and identify gaps.
• Work with third‑party contractors to remediate non‑compliant issues and manage their performance.
• Maintain and update the compliance tracker with inspection results and remedial actions.
• Review compliance certificates from contractors and trigger any required follow‑up work.
• Collaborate with two project‑specific lawyers to review property agreements for statutory responsibilities.

Required profile

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of property‑related statutory compliance obligations.
• Solid understanding of building pathology and mechanical & electrical (M&E) systems.
• Proven project‑management skills to keep contractors on schedule.
