Compliance & Office Manager – Legal Sector

About the role

This is a senior, standalone position reporting directly to the Managing Partner of a progressive law firm in Greenwich. You will own compliance, office operations and health & safety, ensuring the practice runs smoothly and meets all regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the central point of contact for SRA, AML and GDPR compliance.
• Develop, maintain and update compliance policies, procedures and controls.
• Lead internal audits and support external audits such as Lexcel or ISO.
• Manage compliance registers, including breaches, complaints and conflicts of interest.
• Deliver staff compliance training and keep training records up to date.
• Oversee day‑to‑day office operations, supplier contracts and facilities management.
• Serve as Health & Safety lead, conducting risk assessments and incident reporting.
• Support GDPR data governance and liaise with partners, HR, IT, Finance and regulators.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
• Highly organised, commercially aware and able to work independently.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Practical, solutions‑oriented approach to both compliance and office operations.
