Compliance Officer – FX

About the role

The role sits within an FCA‑regulated foreign‑exchange business and is responsible for ensuring the company complies with anti‑money‑laundering (AML) policies and procedures. You will work closely with the AML Director and trading teams to minimise exposure to financial crime.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the AML Director with the implementation of financial‑crime policy.
• Liaise with the trading team to verify client information, identification and source‑of‑funds documentation.
• Implement and monitor the company’s AML Risk Policy across all business areas.
• Sign off low and medium‑risk clients and payments.
• Onboard and monitor new and existing affiliate partners.
• Support quarterly testing and monitoring of systems for Board reports.
• Manage electronic ID and verification systems and coordinate with third‑party suppliers.

Required profile

• Experience in AML compliance within an FCA‑regulated environment.
• Ability to stay current with UK and global regulatory, legal and financial‑crime developments.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing client documentation and risk assessments.
• Capability to support a small compliance team and work collaboratively with trading functions.
