Compliance Partner – Firm‑Level Risk Oversight

About the role

This position offers a step beyond routine file checking, giving you the chance to oversee appointed representative (AR) firms at a strategic level. You will work remotely with occasional field visits, building relationships with firm principals and advisers while applying your compliance judgement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated panel of AR firms as the primary compliance contact.
• Conduct supervision visits to assess firm‑level risk, governance, controls and adviser oversight.
• Identify improvement areas, coach firms, and influence their risk management practices.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with firm principals and advisers.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance, regulatory supervision or financial services risk oversight.
• Ability to work autonomously, plan visits and manage a diary.
• Strong analytical judgement and the confidence to challenge and influence firms.
• Willingness to travel up to half a day per week.
